Meet me- Sophia Chevalier
I am the daughter of Walden and Melissa Chevalier. I have lived on my families 6th generation farm my entire life. I have been riding horses since I was 4 and joined the MHSRA at 14. I have purchased 3 horses and goat named Gurttey. Poco is my pole horse, Rumor is my barrel and goat horse, and Katie is my retired barrel horse that sadly passed earlier this year. When I am not rodeoing, I enjoy hunting, fishing, hanging with friends, watching motocross and helping out on the family farm.

Rodeo
I joined the Missouri Highschool Rodeo my freshman year of high school. Last year I was involved in barrel racing, pole bending, and trap shoot. By the end of the season, I beat my PR in both poles and barrels and qualified for State with 13 points in Trap Shoot. This year I am hoping to beat my PR again and make it to Nationals.
Accomplishments In Rodeo:
- Placed 1st in barrels and poles at our FFA District Fair
- 2nd in Flags at our FFA District Fair.
- 1st in Poles and Flags at the Saline County Fair.
- 2nd in barrels at the Saline County Fair.
- 3rd in Halter Horsemanship at the Saline County Fair.

Goals
My goal is to attend Missouri Valley College to major in Agribusiness and be a member of the rodeo team.
I would like to join the Pro Rodeo to eventually earn a spot in the NFR.
My goals after college include working for the family businesses in hopes of taking over one day.
